#6 Campus Crime

Across the nation , many colleges and university campuses see violent crimes , property theft , sexual abuse , and many more unsafe activities go on on campus. The University of California , of  Los Angeles has a high violent crime rate averaging at 20.0 per 10k students. The property crime rate is 183.3 per 10k students. With UCLA already being located in one of the most dangerous cities as is , it is not surprising that it is considered a dangerous campus as well. UCLA has the highest number of burglaries among all universities of 10,000 students or more , at 84 total reported incidents in 2016. By sheer numbers, UCLA is #1 for campus-related violent crimes. The student enrollment is 41,908 and it is still considered the top-ranked most dangerous school. UCLA has a number of criminal offenses on campus. According to statistics , in 2017 , there was a total of 175 on-campus crimes. To be exact , there were 19 cases of rape , 90 cases of burglary , 15 cases of motor vehicle theft , 18 cases of of aggravated assault and 5 cases of arson.
      Sadly , in 2019 UCLA had its highest amount of crime on campus. On November 27 , 2019 at about 2:20 a.m there was an on-campus battery with serious bodily injury. The suspect hit the victim in the back of the head causing the victim serious head injury. The victim was a UCLA employee. This crime is still under investigation. A couple of days later on December 3 , 2019 at 2:10 a.m , there was an on-campus sexual battery case. The suspect approached the victim on the Covel Steps near Covel Commons and grabbed her buttocks. The male was reportedly 23-28 years old. The victim was a UCLA student. Lastly, the most recent on-campus happened at about noon when the suspects assaulted the victims with a fire arm. Police were able to track down camera footage and find the description of the suspects and the vehicles they were in. Overall , UCLA has a high amount of crime rates on campus within the last few years. On-campus police have now tried to upgrade their guidelines as far as keeping the campus and the students safe.   My Track & Field Journey at SAU Track and Field doesn’t get as much recognition or hype as football or basketball would.  However, track is an extremely competitive sport and it's one of the only sports in which you compete against yourself. #10 Listening Post

   Decades ago most people typically received information or heard about something from listening to the radio, watching the news, or reading the newspaper. In today's generation those aren't ways that most people receive information. In today's generation it is so easy for someone to pick up their mobile device and open twitter, Instagram, snap chat, or any other form of social media. Social media is the new type of news. Information is not heard as much as it used to be through the news or radio. Its sometimes just seen with our own eyes. This leads me to talk about listening post. Listening post can be a various amount of things.     According to  Statistics ,listening post can mean "A point in process where companies can collect and analyze feedback from their consumers. Listening post are a way to conform or disprove that assumption by hearing feedback straight from the source". Listening post are mainly invaluable for understanding what customers truly think

  Ohio Public Records    As I stated in my last blog, public records are pieces of information that are not considered confidential and generally pertain to the conduct of government. It is also information that is recorded and stored by the government in which the public can have access to it. Public records can mean more than criminal records or driving records.
