Ever since the outbreak of Covid-19, have you felt stressed? As a college student of faculty staff, have you felt like the virus is taking a toll over you or your life? During this time of stress and uncertainty due to the virus, it’s understandable to be dealing with feelings of stress, anxiety, depression, and more. Baylor University has recently set up support and resources for those that might be going through something due to the unfortunate circumstances the world is currently in. Baylor has provided a program for full-time faculty and staff and their independent family members. The name of the program is the Employee Assistance Program and. There is also another program called MDLive in which this program encourages and supports their holistic well-being.

Additionally, The EAP offers free and confidential resources, assessments, counseling, referrals and follow-up services to employees to support their personal and professional lives through ComPsych, an outside vendor and the world’s largest provider of employee assistance programs. Employees first register through the EAP and then have confidential access to a broad range of resources and materials. The program includes five face-to-face sessions per family member per issue with a local counselor for stress, depression and family concerns among other things. Additionally, EAP members have unlimited telephone access to speak with an EAP Member Advocate who can provide consultation, resources, an action plan and information to help with concerns.

Wait theirs more! EAP features also provide resources on family issues, like child and elderly care; legal concerns, including attorney consultations and discounts for services; and financial planning and consultation. Available online resources include a library of thousands of articles on helpful topics, tools and calculators, informational videos and search options for lawyers, child care, discount programs and more.
