It's clear that 2020 has been one of the most devastating , most tragic , and has been the most unpredictable year that we have ever experienced! From the death of Kobe , to the deadly virus (Covid 19) and to Hurricane Laura , I'm pretty sure it has been more trauma than we can all bare. When doing my research on the latest news I couldn't help but to see all of the tweets and post about American actor , Chadwick Boseman. On August 28 , 2020 Boseman died at his home in the Los Angeles area with his wife and family by his side. Have you ever heard the saying , you never know what somebody is battling or going through? Boseman had been battling colon cancer for 4 years. Little to no one knew what battles and struggles Boseman was facing. Most just seen him as a wealthy and healthy actor.
According to the New York post , "The final post to Chadwick Boseman’s Twitter account is now the most-liked post in the history of the platform, the company announced Saturday." "The post racked up about 2 million retweets and 7.7 million likes in its first 24 hours, after being posted at 7 p.m Friday. Some of those retweets came from such Hollywood shining stars as Dwyane Johnson,Quinta Brunson,Natasha Rothwell and many of his “Avengers” castmates, all letting the world know their favorite memories of Boseman. In addition to Hollywood’s outpouring of love and sympathy,notable organizations including the NAACP and The Academy also retweeted it."
"A true fighter, Chadwick persevered through it all, and brought you many of the films you have come to love so much," his family stated. Boseman has played in several films throughout his career and he was most recognized for the films " Black Panther" and the movie "42". Coincidentally,Boseman died on the same day that Major League Baseball celebrated Jackie Robinson Day. "His transcendent performance in the film "42" will stand the test of time and serve as a powerful vehicle to tell Jackie's story to audiences for generations to come. " the league wrote in a tweet.
Tonight, ABC will celebrate the legacy of Chadwick Boseman with a special presentation of Marvel Studios’ Black Panther followed by the ABC News Special: Chadwick Boseman - A Tribute for a King. It all starts tonight at 8/7c on ABC.
Chadwick is most known for his appearance in the film "Black Panther". He gained international recognition for playing superhero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and he was also the first black actor to headline an MCU film. After Marvel Studios was informed the devastating news they tweeted a photo of Boseman dressed in the costume of his iconic role, writing, " Our hearts are broken and your legacy will live on forever. "
