                                I'm sure when most teens think of the news we automatically think about a news anchor reporting the latest current events or a reporter interviewing community members about a neighborhood crime. Growing up when I thought about news I thought it was meant for elderly people only. Now that I am older I realized that news is meant for everyone and that television is not the only way that news is reported to the public. In today's era it is so easy to see the latest topic through simply picking up your phone and scrolling through Instagram, Snap chat, Twitter, or Facebook.   My Track & Field Journey at SAU Track and Field doesn’t get as much recognition or hype as football or basketball would.  However, track is an extremely competitive sport and it's one of the only sports in which you compete against yourself. I have been running track ever since I was 10 years old. Being able to still run in college and being offered the opportunity to run track at Southern Arkansas University was a huge honor and blessing that I will forever cherish. From freshman year up until now my track career here at SAU has been an amazing journey. For my visual journalism presentation I decided to showcase what my track and field experience has been like so far here at SAU.    Decades ago most people typically received information or heard about something from listening to the radio, watching the news, or reading the newspaper. In today's generation those aren't ways that most people receive information. In today's generation it is so easy for someone to pick up their mobile device and open twitter, Instagram, snap chat, or any other form of social media. Social media is the new type of news. Information is not heard as much as it used to be through the news or radio. Its sometimes just seen with our own eyes. This leads me to talk about listening post.
