Dallas Police Chief Renee Hall announces as of today (September 9 th ) she will be resigning on November 10 th .     I'm sure when people think of Dallas Texas they think of the beautiful skyline located in downtown or fancy food places to eat at, but I'm sure there is also a handful of people that only think of crime when they think of Dallas. Dallas can be considered one of the safest places in Texas but it can be surprisingly unsafe when you take a look at the crime rates. This is why the Dallas Police Department have tried to do their very best at keeping the city in order and crime-free. In today's generation those aren't ways that most people receive information. In today's generation it is so easy for someone to pick up their mobile device and open twitter, Instagram, snap chat, or any other form of social media. Social media is the new type of news.                                 I'm sure when most teens think of the news we automatically think about a news anchor reporting the latest current events or a reporter interviewing community members about a neighborhood crime. Growing up when I thought about news I thought it was meant for elderly people only. Now that I am older I realized that news is meant for everyone and that television is not the only way that news is reported to the public. In today's era it is so easy to see the latest topic through simply picking up your phone and scrolling through Instagram, Snap chat, Twitter, or Facebook. This leads me to say can news really be defined in one way? News is not just reported from one platform therefore news can have a variety amount of definitions.
