#10 Listening Post




   Decades ago most people typically received information or heard about something from listening to the radio, watching the news, or reading the newspaper. In today's generation those aren't ways that most people receive information. In today's generation it is so easy for someone to pick up their mobile device and open twitter, Instagram, snap chat, or any other form of social media. Social media is the new type of news. Information is not heard as much as it used to be through the news or radio. Its sometimes just seen with our own eyes. This leads me to talk about listening post. Listening post can be a various amount of things.

    According to Statistics,listening post can mean "A point in process where companies can collect and analyze feedback from their consumers. Listening post are a way to conform or disprove that assumption by hearing feedback straight from the source". Listening post are mainly invaluable for understanding what customers truly think and feel. Listening posts are a collection of tools and methods many companies already use to collect customer feedback. Some listening posts happen organically but many are deliberately created by organizations. Social media is probably the best example of an organic listening post because customers will freely share their opinions without prompting from the business. Companies need a good way to collect, consolidate and analyze the feedback. Overall, when people hear about ,or want to be updated on something ,social media is going to be the platform they tend to.
